In a true Renaissance manner, she is a woman blessed with multiple gifts, including artistic and poetic talent spiced by a healthy dose of creative insanity. She can undoubtedly be labeled an innovator, an inventor, a challenger of status quo, and an adventurer. This artist’s visionary capabilities have always allowed her perception to reach twenty years ahead of her contemporaries.

SiskaOrveli is unafraid to creatively experiment with different techniques in pencil, charcoal, pastel, mosaic and environmental art. She has also sculpted artworks from both wood and iron. SiskaOrveli has made several forays into industrial design; her handiwork is visible in several pieces of furniture, jewelry, clothing and architectural design. Her pen also produced several articles about design management

Her poetry – which encompasses several fields of life – has been assembled along several decades. She has published the poetry compilations Runot ja taide (1994) and Olen yöni siivet (2002), and has also composed several yet unpublished works. Her poems are perceptive commentaries on varying subjects, such as environment, politics, religion, humanity, love and eroticism, life, work and death.

SiskaOrveli is an artist, a designer, a poet, a self-taught philosopher and a multidisciplinary researcher/scientist. She is also a cook and a carpenter. She has extensively studied dance and theatre pedagogy, clownery, brain health, digitalization of heathcare, gerontology and future technologies. Her special interest is the concilience of art, science and nature. “SiskaOrveli is a hybridartist and a cross pollinator, who chooses her own path in the ecosystem of crossroads”. This artist – a Doctor of Science in Technology, with a lifelong career in international entrepreneurship – has always been and will always remain a SiskaOrveli at heart.
