THE PHILOSOPHICAL BASIS OF SISKAORVELI’S ”GLIMMERS”
SiskaOrveli’s philosophy is, at its core, based on the love story of art and science. His philosophy is born out of a personal habit of producing short remarks about matters that intrigue his ever-curious mind. SiskaOrveli does not spend his time on lengthy philosophical explanations and theory, preferring instead to analyze these matters via the lessons and experiences granted by everyday life, relying on the basic truths that the world has taught him.
SiskaOrveli likes to savor the complicated nature of the problems he encounters. He is able to see himself in everything and everywhere. SiskaOrveli’s logical thoughts dance in rhythm with his own heartbeat, and he sees himself spinning along the axis of the worlds without a world of his own.
SiskaOrveli’s art and it glimmers are the products of a brimming, densely packed heart. Each glimmer strips away a piece of bark, revealing a part of the slowly greying core underneath. SiskaOrveli is always present—here and today.
SISKAORVELI – “PILKAHDUKSIA – GLIMMERS”
SiskaOrvelin “pilkahdukset” viestivät kuvin ja sanoin, omalla
arvaamattomalla tavallaan, tekijänsä rakentamasta yhteydestä ihmisen,
luonnon ja kulttuurin välillä. Pilkahdukset ovat SiskaOrvelin tapa
purkaa sydäntään ja keino kertoa mieltään askarruttavista asioista
ja ilmiöistä. Pilkahdukset ovat useimmiten varhaisen aamun
ensimmäisiä kritiikittömiä ajatuksia. Ne ovat karkean sormen
tuottamaa kuvaa ja sanojen sommittelua tabletin ruudulla. Pilkahdukset
hengittävät tekijänsä tahdissa. Ne elävät ajassa ja ajattomuudessa
muodostaen verkkoa, jolla ei ole alkua eikä loppua. SiskaOrveli on
mielensä maiseman verkossa “pilkahduksina”.
